L. Inez White was born in Americus, Georgia and the daughter of John Bowman (born in Lumpkin, Georgia) and Mattie Florence Willis Bowman (born in Columbus, Georgia). She was married to George W. White, a sales person in a millinery story and killed in an automobile crash in 1940 when the automobile turned over on a South Carolina Highway. She was buried at Pleasant Hill Cemetery on March 27, 1940.
