PLEASANT HILL CEMETERY
FEES AND REGULATIONS

  1.  Pleasant Hill Cemetery Association owns and is legally responsible for managing Pleasant Hill Cemetery.  It is a private cemetery.  Any person or family that desires to use Pleasant Hill Cemetery as a burial site must have permission from the Pleasant Hill Cemetery Association.  A perpetual care fee is required to reserve each plot and all cemetery regulations must be followed. 
  2. Pleasant Hill Cemetery and Pleasant Hill Cemetery Association have no connection to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.  The Association has been deeded total ownership of the cemetery.  All contributions and fees will go directly to the Association for maintenance and improvement of the cemetery.
  3. All local funeral homes and monument companies are required to adhere to the rules and regulations established by the Pleasant Hill Cemetery Association.  No interments or placing of permanent monuments can take place without following the cemetery regulations.

REGULATIONS and FEES***

1. RESERVING PLOTS:

A.  A perpetual care fee of $1100.00 per plot must be paid prior to any funeral arrangements. This fee includes one traditional burial OR one cremation. 

B. Additional: $450.00 for second cremation.

C. Additional: $450.00 for third cremation.

D.  Fees may be adjusted at any time at the discretion of the Pleasant Hill Cemetery Association in order to preserve the cemetery. 

E. Plots are 4’ x 10’.  A temporary PHCA marker will be placed at the top of the reserved plot until a permanent monument is installed to identify the plot. 

2.  BURIALS

A.  Only one traditional burial per plot is allowed. 

B.  A vault or concrete liner is required.  NO EXCEPTION.

C.  No curbing is to be erected around grave sites.

D.  No excess dirt can be left on the property without prior approval from the Association.

E.  A plot can contain one traditional burial and two cremations OR three cremations.

3.  CREMATED INTERMENTS: 

A.  A perpetual care fee of $1100.00 per plot must be paid prior to any interments.

B.  A maximum of 3 urns is allowed in a plot.

C.  Second and third urns will be assessed a $450.00 perpetual care fee EACH.

D.  No existing grave site can be opened for a cremation interment UNLESS permission has been given at time of purchase and is recorded on the easement.   

4.  MONUMENTS:

A.  All monument companies are required to follow the cemetery regulations.  

 B.  Monuments CANNOT be installed without prior approval from the Association.

C.  Family members cannot install permanent monuments without approval from the Association.  

D.  Military monuments provided by government agencies and veteran associations will not be allowed.

E.  Benches and statuaries are not allowed.

F.  Permanent monuments are required at the gravesite within 6 months.

5.  FUNERALS

 Funeral arrangements must be cleared with the Association before being scheduled to avoid any conflicts with ongoing cemetery projects. 

 Rules and Regulations:

The process for reserving plots at Pleasant Hill Cemetery is writing a letter to or emailing the Pleasant Hill Cemetery Association.  No other form of inquiry will be accepted.

 Upon receipt of payment a certificate of easement and a receipt will be issued by the Pleasant Hill Cemetery Association to the plot holder and the plot will be marked and identified by the Association.

Please help to keep the cemetery a beautiful and serene place for all of our families by following the rules below:

  1. All flowers/ornaments must be on monuments so as not to interfere with grass cutting.  
  1. Flowers must be removed in a timely manner.  Holiday arrangements should be removed within two months after the holiday.
  2. Plantings of any type are prohibited on plots.
  3. Families are encouraged to fill in burial areas that are sunken in and to repair any broken tombstones.
