
Margaret Ann Camp, May 15, 1942- May 11, 2025

Margaret Ann Camp, born on May 15, 1942, in Hendersonville, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2025, in East Flat Rock, just a few days shy of her 83rd birthday.
Margaret Ann was a spiritual person, and church was always a big part of her life. At the time of her death, she was a member of Mud Creek Baptist Church. When she was younger, at previous churches, she could be counted on to help out wherever she was needed. She worked on bus ministries, vacation Bible schools, and Christmas plays. She had a keen fashion sense, and a genuine interest in young people, always offering guidance and support to those around her. She went out of her way to entertain children and make sure they enjoyed themselves when they were with her.
Throughout her career, Margaret Ann worked as an Elder Care Sitter, providing comfort and companionship to those in need. Her compassion and dedication touched many lives.
She is preceded in death by her father, Rev. Everett Camp, her mother, Erlene Tankersley Camp, and her brother, Everett Camp Jr.
Margaret Ann leaves behind her beloved niece, Carol McCraw, and her husband, John, of Flat Rock; great-nieces Miranda Hays and her husband, Rob, of Hendersonville, and Amber Hanke and her husband, Jeff, along with their children of the Winston Salem area. She is also survived by several dear cousins and her sister-in-law, Nora Camp.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Church Street Funeral & Cremation, with Rev. Jeff Tankersley officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A graveside service will take place following the service at Pleasant Hill Community Cemetery.
Margaret Ann Camp will be remembered for her kindness, her sense of style, and her unwavering faith. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
