Claude Cutcher Waters was born in Polk County, Tennessee and was the son of Thomas Walter Waters and Carrie Smith Waters. He died at the Hendersonville Golf Course from a self-inflicted gun shot wound to his head when he was 24 years of age on December 22, 1952. He was never married and a general laborer buried at Pleasant Hill Cemetery on December 24, 1952.
