Mary Marshall Drake Carland, wife of
Ernest C. Carland
According to Elsie Drake Goepfert in The Henderson County Heritage, Volume 1, “Mary Marshall Drake was born 4 July 1903 and married 17 August 1924 the late Earnest C. Carland, Sr. She is a resident of West Palm Beach, Florida, where she and her husband reared their family of three Ernest C. Jr., now in Hendersonville; Mary Frances Parton, Tallahassee, Florida and John P., Safety Harbor, Florida. Ernest Sr., the son of the late Jerry and Jane Carland of Brevard, North Carolina was a member of the Men’s Bible Class and a member of First Baptist Church of West Palm Beach, Florida.”
