Maude Hefner Williams, wife of
Gordon Williams
According to Maude Hefner Coppedge in The Heritage of Henderson County, Volume II, in an article about George William and Rosa Lee Patterson Hefner says “Maude Eliza, second daughter of George William and Rosa Lee attended Valley Hill School, Asheville Normal and Girls High in Atlanta. She married her childhood sweetheart, Gordon Williams. He was the son of Thomas Clingman and Drucilla Brock Williams. Gordon was in the plastering business for many years in Charleston, South Carolina. They moved to Huntsville, Alabama and lived there until Gordon died in 1972. They had two children, Willie Louise and Thomas Calvin “Tommy.”
