According to Julia Jane McCrary McMinn in The Heritage of Henderson County, Volume II, “Kirk Wood McCrary (6 August 1883 – 2 July 1961) was the son of Boyd McCrary (28 May 1855 – 15 February 1944) and Ruth Catherine Middleton (6 November 1860 – 1 May 1929), the daughter of Kinson Middleton and Narcissa Beck.
Boyd McCrary was the son of Adolphus McCrary and Julia Jones. Julia Jones was the daughter of Solomon Jones, the roadbuilder, and Mary Hamilton. Boyd was a farmer in early life living in Henderson County, later he moved to Hendersonville.
Kirk Wood McCrary helped maintain the Tenneriffe estate of Hugh Vincent. He married Nora Jane Jones (31 December 1893 – 6 April 1981). Nora was the daughter of George Jones and Mary Jane Bradley…. Kirk Wood and Nora were members of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and are buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.”
